Compassionate Care From Infancy to Teens

At Seaside Pediatrics, we're proud to provide exceptional pediatric care for children from infancy through adolescence. Our dedicated team of board-certified pediatricians and certified pediatric nurse practitioners brings expertise and compassion to every visit.

History

Dr. Kimberly Zimlich and Dr. Janet White started Seaside Pediatrics in January 2001. They met while attending the Medical University of South Carolina. After being employed for a few years, they decided to start their own practice. 

After returning to Mt. Pleasant, Dr. Shannon Noble was recruited to join Seaside Pediatrics in 2006. As the saying goes, “the rest is history”.

What Makes Us Special

Seaside Pediatrics is a small, private, independent, female-owned practice. We strive to have a person answer every telephone call. We have same day appointments for the peace of mind of parents and well-being of our patients. We also have Ms. Sharon that has been with us for well over twenty years.

Janet O. White, M.D.

Janet O. White, M.D.

Dr Janet White completed her undergraduate degree at Washington State University. She attended medical school at the University of Washington School of Medicine, where she graduated in 1992. She completed her pediatric residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1995. Dr. White is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. White lives in Mt Pleasant, SC with her husband. She has three children: one daughter and two sons.

Dr. White is an accountant at heart and is often seen completing sheets of statistics manually. She is active in her church, and it is reported that she has a wonderful singing voice.

Kimberly S. Zimlich, M.D.

Kimberly S. Zimlich, M.D.

Originally from Hartsville, SC, Dr. Zimlich earned her undergraduate degree at Duke University. She graduated from medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She also performed her pediatric residency at MUSC. Dr. Zimlich is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Zimlich resides in Mt. Pleasant with her husband and mischievous dog, Remley. (She sometimes blames Remley for eating her homework.) She has two daughters and one son.

She can be seen riding her bicycle to work when her children are home and commandeer her car. She enjoys golfing and spending time in the mountains of North Carolina.

Shannon M. Noble, M.D.

Dr. Noble grew up in Charleston, SC. She received her undergraduate degree from Clemson University. She graduated from medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1997. She completed her pediatric residency at the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, University of Texas at Southwestern Medical Center in 2000. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Noble lives in Mt Pleasant, SC with her husband and two dogs. She has one daughter and one son.

Dr. Noble can often be seen running on the Cooper River Bridge preparing for a race. She also enjoys traveling and gardening.

Laura C. Bates, C.P.N.P.

Laura C. Bates, C.P.N.P.

Laura Bates, RN, MSN, CPNP attended the College of Charleston for her undergraduate degree. In 2003, she graduated from the Medical University of SC with a BS in Nursing. She then went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing at Medical University of SC in 2006. Laura started with Seaside Pediatrics in 2007.

Laura resides in Mt Pleasant with her husband, three children and three dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family. Laura is known for having a heart for service and commitment to the Star Gospel Mission.

Sharon Simmons, CMA

Sharon Simmons, CMA

Sharon Simmons, RMA, is a Charleston Native. She earned an Associate of Arts degree at Trident Technical College. Sharon started her medical career in the USAF as an aeromedical evacuation medical technician. Those that work with her still see her military mode at times.

Sharon AKA “Miss Sharon” came to Seaside Pediatrics in 2002 and is an integral part of the practice. She raised many children in the Charleston area and is now seeing a second generation of babies at Seaside Pediatrics.
